3rd year PhD student at the LITO laboratory

What is your background?

After my baccalaureate, I did two years of preparatory classes and then I continued my studies with a bachelor's degree in Fundamental Physics. I then did a master's degree in Medical Physics at the University of Paris-Sud in order to take the entrance exam for the DQPRM (Qualification Diploma in Radiological and Medical Physics). Before starting this training, I chose to do a thesis at the LITO laboratory.

What is your thesis subject?

My thesis is entitled: "Methodological developments for the use of radiomic characteristics". In concrete terms, my aim was to develop and validate methods that allow us to answer a given problem. For example, how to determine whether the data contain the information sought? How to overcome the problems of small numbers to develop models?

What is your best memory of your thesis?

My first SNMMI (American Society of Nuclear Medicine) conference in Philadelphia. It was my first oral communication in a congress and the location was quite nice...

What was the objective of your complementary doctoral mission?

I engaged in a scientific mediation mission, i.e. to popularise science subjects while allowing an exchange with the public (children/teenagers) and not in a unidirectional way as it is the case with scientific popularisation.

What are your plans?

To become a medical physicist. That's why I have just started the training to obtain the Diploma of Qualification in Radiological and Medical Physics (DQPRM).

If you were an animal, ...

I would be a French bulldog because I love them.

If you were a singer, ...

I would be Breakbot (even though he's not a singer), I should put him in the acknowledgements of my thesis because of the time I spent listening to him while working/writing.

If you were a piece of clothing, ...

I would be a black dress because it is sober and practical.

If you were a video game character, ...

I would be a Sims because I loved this game when I was younger.

If you were a radiomic feature, ...

I would be SRLGE because it goes unnoticed.

If you were an imaging modality, ...

I would be PET because I don't have a choice, almost all my images came from this modality ...
